NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The Board of Supervisors of Stone County, Mississippi, shall receive sealed bids until 10 AM on the 1st day of April, 2019, at the Stone County Courthouse, Wiggins, Mississippi, for the construction of a New Community Center in McHenry, MS. as per the plans and specifications prepared by O’Neal-Bond Engineering, Inc., Wiggins, Mississippi, dated January, 2019, after which time, said sealed bids shall be publicly opened and read. Bids on the project must be received on or before the time specified above and no bid may be withdrawn
after the scheduled closing time and date for the receipt of bids. Bids mailed are done so at the risk of the bidder and the county is NOT responsible for bids arriving in mail after the deadline. The address is P.O. Drawer 7, Wiggins, MS
39577. The bidders Certificate of Responsibility Number must be written on the outside of the sealed bid envelope (if applicable).
The award, if made, will be made to the lowest and best qualified bidder. The
Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
The Board of Supervisors hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprise will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, sex, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
Plans and Proposals may be secured from O’Neal-Bond Engineering, Inc., 312
Mill Ave., P.O. Box 369, Wiggins, Mississippi. The cost is fifty dollars ($50.00) for plans and proposal, non-refundable.
Certified check or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the total bid, made payable to
Stone County must accompany each proposal.
Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal accompanied by letters qualifying in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid and such proposal will not be considered in making the award.
Funding for this project is from the Mississippi Small Municipalities and
Limited Population Counties Program.
